The Debutantes

How does one come out into society in a way that honors and fosters a development of one’s authentic self? The film follows Canton, Ohio’s first group of Black debutantes in over a decade as they prepare for the event while also examining the context of this centuries-old tradition and their desire to forge their own path toward the future.
